Position: DBA
Tasks and Activities oProvide day-to-day support and maintenance for the databases. oMonitor database events and proactively optimise system performance. oPerform health checks to ensure the integrity of the schema and the data. oPerform health checks to ensure the synchronization of database replicas. oLiaise with other infrastructure teams to resolve complex application performance analysis. oDevelop and maintain the appropriate operational documentation for databases.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience oStrong knowledge and experience in MySQL Database Administration in both Linux and Windows environment. o3+ years experience working with MySQL oknowledge of how indexes can be created or stored and managed effectively. oIntermediate to expert knowledge about server hardware infrastructure and operating systems. oKnowledge and experience in scripting and database query skills. oKnowledge and experience in database backup and restore strategies and disaster recovery planning and implemetation. oKnowledge and experience in clusters and high availability technologies. Qualifications & Certifications DBA's will often hold certifications for specific database software programs. MySQL Certification or an equivalent would be highly desirable. |
